Marc Vukotich
Academic Advisor, COEIT Undergraduate Student Services

Marc Vukotich creates a classroom environment where students feel academically, socially, and personally supported. His goal is to have each of his students leave confident in their academic ability and their place at UMBC. In his UNIV 101 class, he shares resources for students as they understand the demands of their rigorous STEM majors. He also shares his own college experiences to help students feel welcome and not alone in their first semesters at UMBC. Outside the classroom, Vukotich works as an academic advisor, helping students achieve their academic goals and plan for the future. He also works with the Dawg Days Summer Bridge program to put on college specific workshops. This is the same program that first brought him to UMBC as a NODA Graduate Student Intern in 2022. Vukotich is looking forward to continuing to support students in their first semesters at UMBC and beyond, whether it be in the classroom or in his office as an academic advisor. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
