Hope Weisman
Senior Academic Advocate, Academic Success Center
Hope Weisman ’14, psychology, M.A. ’18, applied sociology, currently serves as a senior academic advocate in UMBC’s Academic Success Center and has been part of the university community for over a decade. Her journey at UMBC, as both an undergraduate and graduate student, has been instrumental in shaping the way she supports others. As a former transfer student, Weisman’s journey at UMBC deeply influenced her personal and professional growth, inspiring her dedication to helping others succeed. During her time as a student, she served as a TRS Peer Leader (now a Teaching Assistant for UNIV), which sparked her passion for mentorship and teaching. That formative experience continues to influence her work today, both in the Academic Success Center and as a UNIV instructor. Weisman’s dedication reflects the lasting impact of a UMBC education—showing how the opportunities and connections made here can inspire a lifelong commitment to supporting others.
