Danyelle Tauryce Ireland, Associate Director, Center for Women in Technology
Danyelle Tauryce Ireland appreciates the unique qualities and needs of student subpopulations and uses knowledge gained through her research to help all students succeed. She advocates for transfer students and is a recognized expert in the needs of underserved populations. Colleagues say Ireland has helped CWIT better serve all women and that she gracefully ensures others understand alternative viewpoints they have missed or failed to consider. As an educator, she uses a variety of techniques to help students learn. Ireland received her B.A. in African American studies and family studies from the University of Maryland, College Park; and her Ph.D. in educational psychology from Howard University.
